How was the idea for Soltiq born?

In public discourse, you can often hear the phrase "an idea came to my mind", as if the purpose and essence of the idea come spontaneously, like a moment of pure inspiration or divine providence. In the reality of every startup world, including Croatian's, where the entire ecosystem is based on ideas and innovation, the starting point is – a problem! The need to solve a problem initiates the entire creative process, ultimately culminating in innovation as the solution. And so was the case with the idea for Soltiq.

Riding an electric bike through untouched nature is definitely an inspiring experience, but it was the need to recharge the electric bike battery in such an environment with electric energy that got Tomislav thinking about how to solve that problem.

Initially, the solution obviously had to be autonomous, independent of the availability of a standard electric grid. Similarly, to be easily feasible and not negatively impact the environment, the solution had to be mobile - easily accessible and applicable. And lastly, of course, finding an energy source capable of replacing conventional electricity from the existing grid in all circumstances was crucial.

The sum of these elements, multiplied by Tomislav's technical education and knowledge, and augmented by the serious industrial capacities of Bravarija Ivanić, offered a solution - the first autonomous mobile solar charging station for electric vehicles!

What might seem like a simple solution on paper is still just a good idea. Transforming it into a concrete, accessible, and usable product is the step where many innovators unfortunately often stumble. Knowledge, manufacturing experience, and industrial capacities enabled the successful transformation of the idea into a product.

And that is how Soltiq was born - an autonomous mobile solar charging station for electric vehicles the size of a parking spot, resistant to storms, rain, and snow, ready to charge any electric vehicle (car, scooter, or bike) and embark on a journey towards one of the mountain peaks of Velebit or an island like Hvar or Lastovo. Wherever the sun is accessible as an endless source of free energy. And new ideas.
