Installation and Transport of the Charger
-
Yes! The Soltiq solar charger is designed to accommodate the largest European SUVs today, without any difficulties.
-
The charger is transported to the desired location by road using appropriate truck transport, and unloading is done with a forklift or truck crane.
-
It is not necessary for the surface to be concrete; it can be earth or gravel, provided that the soil has good drainage and there is no risk of soil erosion that could change the terrain over time. The base must be somewhat flat, but the charger itself has a few adjustable legs that can compensate for minor irregularities in the surface.
-
If the person believes they have the skills to level the device, they can use the leg adjustment wrench that comes with the charger to adjust the charger on the surface according to the instructions. If not, leveling of the device after it has been placed at the location can be ordered. The logistical company will handle the actual placement at the usage site with a crane or forklift.
-
With the purchase of the charger, it is possible to order the delivery of the charger, and the delivery price is calculated according to a special price list, depending on the location and the number of units.
Compatibility and Capacity
-
You can easily charge all types of electric vehicles and devices that contain a battery, i.e., are powered by electricity, at your Soltiq solar charger. This ranges from cars, motorcycles, and bicycles, to, for example, wireless household appliances, and even your mobile phones and laptops.
-
The Soltiq solar charger has three connection points, two of which are equipped with standard schuko sockets for devices, and one charger for electric cars with a charging power of 6 kW. All three connection points can be used simultaneously, but they share the total power according to their own capacities.
-
The power of the Soltiq solar charger is 6 kW, which is also its constant standard charging power. However, at locations that are not directly exposed to solar energy, there might be a possibility of less efficient use of that energy. In such cases, there is also the alternative option of connecting to the electrical grid which would serve to supplement the battery.
-
The development of models for collecting electrical energy and selling it to the authorized national distributor is in progress. Such models are expected to be available in the markets of those countries whose national laws allow this type of collection and sale of electrical energy.
Charger maintenance
-
The Soltiq solar charger is designed to be easily assembled and disassembled with the press of a button within its own app. Lowering the Soltiq solar charger to a height of one meter makes all its surfaces easily accessible for cleaning. A general service of the Soltiq solar charger is recommended every three years at the original service center.
-
The Soltiq solar charger is designed to be easily assembled and disassembled with the press of a button within its own app. This way, users can access the solar panels at a height of one meter and easily wipe their surface clean of dirt and other small particles whose accumulation can reduce the battery charging efficiency by up to 20%.
-
In case of damage to one or more solar panels on the Soltiq solar charger, it is necessary to contact an authorized service center that will proceed with the repair or replacement of the solar panels. If the damage was not caused by improper use of the charger, the insurance policy will cover the damage repair.
-
The maximum efficiency of the battery capacity in Soltiq solar chargers is estimated at 6 to 10 years, after which the efficiency, or power of the battery, begins to decline. The decline in battery efficiency is affected by the intensity of its use, and the batteries can only be replaced at an authorized service center.
Safety and Sustainability
-
Soltiq is produced in a factory that obtains electric power from a 300kw solar power plant located on the roof of the factory building, and this power is used to operate all machinery as well as heating and ventilation systems. Technically, the manufacturing process of the charger within the factory (excluding the transport of raw materials and other related activities) has a 0% carbon footprint. As for the use of the charger, it is entirely based on solar energy.
-
Regular maintenance of the Soltiq solar charger is recommended every three years, but if there are no recorded system and function failures, or there is no significant damage to the charger itself, regular maintenance can be extended to every five years.
-
The charger is designed to withstand basic natural disasters that seasonally occur in Croatia and the EU - floods, wind, and snow. The roof structure is designed to withstand 50kg of snow per square meter. The entire structure is designed to withstand wind gusts of up to 150km/h and is safe in flood conditions up to a maximum water surge height of 30cm.
-
In the case of a short circuit on the Soltiq solar charger, which is almost impossible due to the high-tech protection system installed in the charger, the system will automatically trip one of the fuses, and if an open flame occurs, the fire should be approached with a method for extinguishing electrical fires.
-
Soltiq solar chargers use gel technology batteries, which do not have a risk of self-ignition. To further ensure our batteries' safety, we have installed an air-cooling system in the Soltiq solar charger that allows the charger to be used at temperatures from -15 to 60 degrees Celsius.
-
The Soltiq solar charger is waterproof against all types of natural precipitation, as well as against the rational use of cleaning agents used for its maintenance.
